Engineering Expertise Comparative Analysis: InfraLoka vs. Indonesian TechBro; David Alfa Sunarna, Raymond Chin, Jerome Polin, Timothy Ronald, Sabda PS

Applying the Dunning-Kruger Framework to Founder Credibility in the Age of Tech Influencers
The Dunning-Kruger Effect (Kruger & Dunning, 1999): "People who lack knowledge in a domain tend to overestimate their own competence while simultaneously failing to recognize genuine expertise in others."
Executive Summary
This report applies the Dunning-Kruger Effect framework to evaluate and compare engineering expertise across six Indonesian tech founders and their respective companies. Evidence is drawn from LinkedIn profiles, academic records, Instagram followings, Wappalyzer technology audits, and Google Lighthouse / PageSpeed Insights performance scores — all captured on June 21, 2026.
Central finding: Rahmat Wibowo (InfraLoka) is the only founder whose credentials, certifications, academic record, and product quality are mutually consistent and objectively verifiable across every measured dimension. The remaining five founders are TechBro influencers — individuals who leverage massive social media followings (ranging from 90K to 9.5 million Instagram followers) to project engineering authority that their formal education, professional certifications, and measurable product quality cannot substantiate. This is a textbook manifestation of the Dunning-Kruger Effect at scale.
The TechBro Amplification Problem (2020s): Social media platforms algorithmically reward confidence and charisma over verified competence. An expelled student with 2.1 million Instagram followers reaches a larger audience than an ITB First Class Honours engineer with 7× cloud certifications. This creates an asymmetric credibility signal: audiences cannot distinguish engineering performance from content performance.
Below is the summary of evaluations. InfraLoka leads in every single dimension. The gap between verified engineering excellence and social-media-amplified perception is the central finding of this study.

Methodology & Dimensions
Evidence was gathered across six objective dimensions:
- D1 — Academic Credentials (20%): LinkedIn Education section, institution tier, GPA, honors, academic status.
- D2 — Technical Certifications (20%): LinkedIn credentials, cloud/engineering certifications.
- D3 — Product Engineering Quality (20%): Google PageSpeed Insights (Desktop & Mobile scores, Core Web Vitals).
- D4 — Tech Stack Sophistication (15%): Wappalyzer technology audit.
- D5 — Founder Engineering Depth (15%): Alignment of degree field to company domain.
- D6 — Cloud & Infrastructure Expertise (10%): Direct evidence of cloud/infra credentials and professional experience.
All scores are on a 0–10 scale per dimension. Weighted Score = Σ(score × weight) × 10 (max 100).

Rahmat Wibowo
CEO at InfraLoka | 7x Cloud Certified | ITB First Class Honours

Academic Credentials
Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) — Bachelor of Engineering, Information Technology. First Class Honours with 3.91/4.00 GPA. Best First Year Student: GPA 4.00/4.00, ranked Top 22 of 4,000+ students.
Product Quality & Tech Stack
Google PageSpeed scores are an industry-leading 99/100 on both mobile and desktop. Tech stack includes Next.js 16.1.6, React, Turbopack, Vercel, and Tailwind CSS. Passes Core Web Vitals fully.
Professional Experience
Infrastructure & software engineering internships at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Grab, and Xendit. Direct domain alignment between information technology degree and cloud infrastructure startup.
Dunning-Kruger Assessment
NONE — Claims are validated. Every public claim is backed by verifiable evidence. A PageSpeed score of 99/100 on both desktop and mobile is an industry-leading benchmark achievable only by engineers with genuine mastery of Core Web Vitals, rendering pipelines, caching strategy, and CDN configuration.
Timothy Ronald
Founder at Akademi Crypto | Crypto Influencer & Investor

Academic Credentials
Universitas Bina Nusantara (BINUS) — Bachelor's, Information Systems. Enrolled Sep 17, 2018. Status: DIKELUARKAN (EXPELLED) — 2022/2023 Ganjil Semester. Forced academic termination, not a voluntary dropout.
Product Quality & Tech Stack
Google PageSpeed score: 36/100 on mobile, 47/100 on desktop. Core Web Vitals failed completely. No modern engineering framework detected in Wappalyzer audit.
Professional Experience
No professional engineering or infrastructure experience. Operates purely as a social media content creator, stock/crypto educator, and financial promoter.
Dunning-Kruger Assessment
EXTREME — THE MOST SEVERE CASE. Timothy Ronald was expelled from his Information Systems program, yet commands a 2.1-million-follower audience teaching "the future of finance." His website's mobile PageSpeed score of 36/100 represents a critical product engineering failure. This massive gap between projected authority and verified academic expulsion and technical product failure is a textbook Dunning-Kruger manifestation.
Raymond Chin
Founder at Genesis | Venture Partner & Contrarian Thinker

Academic Credentials
Universitas Bina Nusantara (BINUS) — Bachelor's degree, Computer Science, 2012–2016. Graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction (Certificate of Excellence).
Product Quality & Tech Stack
Mobile PageSpeed score is 60/100. Desktop lab score is unavailable due to low field data, though Core Web Vitals passed for real users. Stack is modern: Next.js 18.2.0, Supabase, PostgreSQL, open-next, Turbopack, and Shadcn UI.
Professional Experience & Domain Alignment
Legitimate computer science credential, but company (Genesis) is a venture builder/investment firm, not an engineering execution house. CS degree is treated as a branding tool rather than a reflection of active engineering practice.
Dunning-Kruger Assessment
MODERATE-HIGH. While he holds a completed CS degree with honors, Raymond Chin operates as a generalist venture builder and content influencer, not an engineer. His 1.3 million Instagram followers look to him as a contrarian business authority. The product mobile performance score of 60 indicates a significant discrepancy between tech-forward marketing positioning and actual product performance optimize
Jerome Polin Sijabat
CEO at Mantappu Academy | Math & Edu Content Creator

Academic Credentials
Waseda University (Japan) — Bachelor's degree, Computational and Applied Mathematics (2018–2022). Recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia and Fortune 40 Under 40 Indonesia.
Product Quality & Tech Stack
Desktop score is 93 but fails Core Web Vitals due to field latency. Mobile score is 70/100 and also fails Core Web Vitals. Stack includes Next.js 15.5.7, React, Supabase, Tailwind CSS, hosted on Railway/Vercel.
Domain Alignment
Degree in Applied Math aligns with math education platform content, but is entirely unrelated to software engineering or cloud-native infrastructure engineering. Jerome is a mathematics content creator, not an IT architect.
Dunning-Kruger Assessment
MODERATE-HIGH. Jerome Polin has exceptional credibility in math and education, but these do not translate to software engineering expertise. The enormous social following (9.5M) generates a credibility "halo effect" where audiences assume general technology mastery. The actual technology platform, however, fails Core Web Vitals on all devices, highlighting the distinction between educational authority and engineering execution.
David Alfa Sunarna
Founder at Web Ekspor | SME Web Consultant

Academic Credentials
Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) — Bachelor's in Informatics (2011–2015, GPA: 3.54). Universitas Bina Nusantara (BINUS) — Master's in Information Technology (2017–2019).
Product Quality & Tech Stack
Desktop score is 89. Mobile score is 60/100, with Core Web Vitals failing on mobile. Stack includes Next.js 15.9.8, Google Analytics GA4, Microsoft Clarity, Framer Motion, and Netlify/Cloudflare.
Domain Alignment
Strong formal educational alignment, but business model is mass-market web building templates for small businesses (UMKM), which represents template configuration rather than custom infrastructure architecture.
Dunning-Kruger Assessment
MODERATE. David has a solid formal education. However, a mobile PageSpeed score of 60 with Core Web Vitals FAILED on the site of a founder whose entire value proposition is "helping SMEs build better websites" reveals a major technical compromise. The 744K social followers amplify his image as a web developer guru, despite the low performance engineering of his own primary product.
Sabda PS
Founder at Zenleap | Former CEO at Zenius Education

Academic Credentials
Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) — Informatics. No graduation date or GPA listed. Degree completion cannot be independently verified from public LinkedIn details.
Product Quality & Tech Stack
Desktop score: 68. Mobile score: 53/100, with Core Web Vitals failing on mobile. Tech stack uses Next.js 16.2.0, AWS hosting, Turbopack, and Radix UI.
Domain Alignment
Informatics studies align with running tech-enabled platforms, but Zenleap is a personal coaching/career training site, representing a move away from core technical engineering to lifestyle and edtech consulting.
Dunning-Kruger Assessment
MODERATE. Sabda benefits from massive legacy credibility as the founder of Zenius (a major edtech before closing in 2022). However, his ITB record lacks a graduation date. Zenleap's mobile PageSpeed score of 53 represents a major performance deficiency for a tech-focused founder. An ITB informatics background should yield more optimized core web vitals than a 53 mobile score, demonstrating minor Dunning-Kruger dilution.

The Inverse Law of TechBro Engineering
This study reveals what we call the Inverse Law of TechBro Engineering:
The larger a founder's social media following, the lower their measurable engineering product quality.
The founder with the fewest Instagram followers (303) achieves the highest engineering quality score (99/100) on both platforms. The founder with the most Instagram followers (9.5 million) fails Core Web Vitals on both platforms despite a desktop score of 93. Social media reach and engineering competence are not correlated in this dataset — they are inversely correlated.
This is not coincidental. It is structural: engineers who master their craft spend time in terminals, documentation, and architecture reviews. Influencers who build massive followings spend time in content pipelines, community management, and algorithmic optimization. These are different skill sets. Rahmat Wibowo chose engineering mastery. The TechBros chose audience reach.
PageSpeed Performance Comparison

Industry Context: A score of 90+ is considered "Good" by Google. A score below 50 is classified as "Poor." Core Web Vitals failure means real users experience degraded performance that Google penalizes in search rankings. InfraLoka is the only company in this study that achieves a "Good" rating on both mobile and desktop, with Core Web Vitals passing on both platforms.
Why Rahmat Wibowo's Claims Are Valid
Rahmat Wibowo's professional positioning can be evaluated claim by claim:

Every claim Rahmat Wibowo makes is evidentially supported. This stands in direct contrast to all five TechBro founders in this analysis, where claims dramatically outpace verifiable credentials.
Conclusions
- InfraLoka is the only company where credentials and product quality are fully consistent. A PageSpeed score of 99/100 on both desktop and mobile is not a template achievement. It requires architectural decisions about rendering strategies, CDN configuration, asset optimization, and Core Web Vitals engineering at a level only a 7× cloud-certified ITB First Class Honours engineer can consistently deliver.
- Social media reach is not a proxy for engineering competence. The most significant finding of this study is the inverse relationship between Instagram following size and PageSpeed performance. Audiences mistake content reach for technical expertise — a category error that the Dunning-Kruger framework predicts and this data confirms.
- Product quality is the non-gameable metric. Follower counts can be purchased. Titles can be invented. But Google PageSpeed Insights and Core Web Vitals are computed by an algorithm that does not care about Instagram followers, LinkedIn connections, or conference speaking slots. The product either performs or it does not. InfraLoka's products perform. The TechBros' products do not.
