Rahmat Wibowo vs. Farah Clarashinta Rachmady: A Legal Notice Over Alleged Defamation Across Two Incidents (2023 and 2026)
This post describes a formal legal notice (Somasi No. 045/SOMASI/RW/VIII/2026) I sent on 31 August 2026 to Farah Clarashinta Rachmady and, as a courtesy copy, to the officers of Python Indonesia and the Python Software Foundation. A somasi is a cease-and-desist letter, not a court filing or a finding by any court or authority — it is my own demand, and as of this writing I have not filed a police report over this specific matter. Everything below is my account of what I believe happened and what I asked for. Ms. Rachmady has not had a chance to respond in this post, and I am not asserting that she is guilty of any crime. Where I did not witness something directly, or where identification depends on inference rather than direct proof, I've said so.
Background
According to the notice I sent, this dispute involves two incidents more than two years apart, both of which I believe involve the same person: Farah Clarashinta Rachmady, who I understand to be the owner of the Instagram account @nyetirnyajauh (display name "Farah Clarashinta Rachmady," bio "partly satire, mostly true").
The first incident: comments on a forum in 2023
Between September and November 2023, on the Fomo forum app (in a channel called f/Publik and related channels), I say a series of comments appeared that referred to me ("RW," "si rahmat," "this kid") in demeaning terms — calling me "problematic," "arrogant," accusing me of "wanting to ride on others' fame," and suggesting the trouble I was in was my own fault. Some of these comments, including lines like "just ignore him" and a remark linking my name to a "credentials" problem and suggesting I should "disappear for about two years," were posted, according to screenshots I have, by accounts displaying the name and logo of "Python ID" / "Python Indonesia" — the identifiers @lebahcantikperkasa and @jandakembang.
I don't have direct, independently verified proof of who controlled those accounts. My basis for believing Ms. Rachmady controlled them is circumstantial: in a screenshot I have of an exchange from 4 November 2023, another account addresses the "Python ID" account as "iya far" — short for "Farah" — immediately after that account posted a comment. I've treated the nickname, the writing style, and the connection to the @nyetirnyajauh account (which uses her full name) as the basis for that identification, but I want to be clear this is an inference on my part, not a confirmed fact — final identification of account ownership would require a request to the platform for account data, which I have not obtained.
I also don't have any confirmation from Python Indonesia that those accounts were ever affiliated with the organization. My understanding, and the premise of my notice, is that if the accounts used the Python Indonesia name and logo, they most likely did so without the organization's authorization.
The second incident: a repost in 2026
In 2026, on the X platform, an account using the display name "Farah" — which I believe is the same person, again based on my own identification rather than confirmed account data — reposted a post from an account called "Kawal Rahmat Wibowo" (@KawalRahmatwi) dated 7 May 2026. That post accused me, among other things, of having "terrorized, intimidated, and extorted" people and of turning "into a criminal" while claiming to be a bullying victim, and included an image alleging I had engaged in doxxing, harassment, stalking, and threatening to involve the military. I have a screenshot showing that repost, which by my count had accumulated roughly 141 reposts, 282 likes, and 38,000 impressions.
I am not aware of any police report, court finding, or other evidence supporting the claims in that post, and I don't believe they are true. My relationship with the various parties I've dealt with has been through lawful means — legal notices and complaints through official channels — not extortion or intimidation, as far as I'm aware of my own conduct.
What I asked for
In the somasi I sent on 31 August 2026, I asked Ms. Rachmady to: stop and remove the content described above; permanently stop using the Python Indonesia name, logo, or any organization's name or logo on accounts she controls; provide written clarification about who controls the accounts in question and why the logo and repost were used; provide a written apology; and not retaliate against me for exercising my legal rights. I also asked for compensation, which I set out in the notice as a minimum figure — I want to be clear that figure reflects my own calculation under Indonesian law as I understand it, not an amount awarded or agreed by anyone.
Separately, I asked Python Indonesia to issue a public statement that the accounts in question were not an official channel, to pursue any applicable trademark or copyright process regarding unauthorized use of its name and logo, and to open a coordination channel with me. I don't have any indication that Python Indonesia was aware of or endorsed anything described above, and I was careful in the notice itself to say that no wrongdoing on the organization's part should be assumed unless it fails to act after being notified.
I set a deadline of 3 September 2026 for a response. I'm documenting this dispute because it reflects a legal step I've taken and because I believe the underlying pattern — being publicly described in serious terms without, as far as I know, any legal finding behind those descriptions — is relevant to how this dispute should be understood by others.
I'm not a lawyer, and nothing in this post is a finding of fact. If Ms. Rachmady or Python Indonesia responds or disputes any of this, I'm open to updating this account.
