Telkom AI Center (Indigo) Event with Marchel Shevchenko: Removed One Minute After Sharing a Fact-Check Link

On 8 November 2026 I shared a public link in the participant WhatsApp group of a Telkom-branded online event. About a minute later I was removed from the group, and then from the Zoom session. This is my account, with screenshots.
I did not plan to write about this. I joined a free online event that carried the logos of Telkom AI Center of Excellence and Telkom Indonesia. I left it with a "removed" notice in two apps and no explanation.
This article records what the screenshots show. It is my account as a participant, not a finding by any authority.
Scope and identity note
Everything below comes from three screenshots I took on 8 November 2026: the event poster, the WhatsApp group, and the Zoom notice. None has been forensically authenticated. I have not verified who controls the WhatsApp account named in the removal notice, and I do not know who was the Zoom host. Where I describe the speaker's credentials, I only point to the separate evidence record linked at the end. I am not stating that any claim about the speaker is proven.
What the event was
According to the poster, the event was "AI Introductory: The Founders' Trinity – Be The Hacker: Make It Work", online by Zoom on Sunday 8 November 2026, 13.00 to 15.00 WIB. The poster carries four logos at the top: Danantara Indonesia, AI Connect, Telkom AI Center of Excellence and Telkom Indonesia. The speaker is listed as Marchel Andrian Shevchenko, "Founder of Data Sorcerers". At the bottom, Data Sorcerers also appears under "In Collaboration With", beside a row of community partner logos.
The WhatsApp group I was in was named "AI Connect Bandung: The Founders' Trinity".
What happened, in order
- At 13.11, during the event window, I posted a link in the group. It was a public video titled "Kawal Shevchenko", which discusses the gap between the speaker's promoted credentials and the public higher-education database (PDDikti). I did not write the video and I do not vouch for every statement in it.
- At 13.12 I posted three short messages, in Indonesian: that participants were being "fooled by the person", that he "claims a lot", and an invitation to search the speaker's name in Google, Gemini or ChatGPT and look for the case. In hindsight the tone was blunt, and I come back to that below.
- All three messages show a red "not sent" mark in my screenshot.
- The group then displayed the notice "~Dinda Maharani removed you", followed by: "You can't send messages to this group because you're no longer a member."
- When I tried to rejoin the Zoom session, I got: "You are unable to rejoin this meeting because you were previously removed by the host."

What I can and cannot conclude
Documented: the event carried Telkom-related logos; I posted a link and short messages; I was removed from the group by the account shown as "~Dinda Maharani"; I was later barred from Zoom by "the host", all within a short time on the event day.
Not documented:
- Who owns that WhatsApp account, and whether it was a group administrator acting on its own or on someone's instruction. The notice only shows a display name.
- Who the Zoom host was.
- Whether anyone read my messages. The three follow-up messages never sent, so I cannot say what other members saw beyond the link.
- Why I was removed. The screenshots show a sequence in time. They do not show a motive.
Where I may be wrong
- My follow-up messages were accusatory and written fast. A group admin can reasonably treat unannounced accusations in a live group as disruption, and removing a member for that is within ordinary moderation.
- The speaker may have an explanation for each item that I have not seen. A claim of research affiliation can be informal or partial, and I have found no proof either way.
- Telkom may not have known about any of the speaker's public claims. The poster itself does not mention MIT or any degree.
I think the removal was a poor way to handle a warning that came with a source. But "poor handling" is a judgment, not proof of bad intent.
What I did next
I filed a whistleblowing report with the Telkom Integrity Line, with reference 001/ADUAN-WBS/RW/XI/2026. I did not ask Telkom to punish anyone. I asked for verification from primary sources and a review of how the event was set up. The details are in a companion article: what I asked Telkom to do.
For the speaker's public claims set against the public records I could find, see: what the public records show and do not show.
Right of reply and correction policy
Telkom AI Center of Excellence, AI Connect, the account holder shown as "~Dinda Maharani", the event host and the speaker are invited to send a response, correction or added context. A substantive response may be published alongside this article, subject to reasonable editing for privacy, safety and relevance. If reliable evidence shows that any factual statement here is wrong, I will correct it and note the change.
