Alvin Prayuda Juniarta Dwiyantoro and DevFest Jakarta 2026: What the Record Does and Does Not Show

After my DevFest Jakarta 2026 registration was cancelled, I wondered whether a workshop speaker had anything to do with it. This article records why I wondered, and why the documents I have do not support that idea.
This article does not claim that Alvin Prayuda Juniarta Dwiyantoro cancelled my registration, blocked me or acted improperly in any way. It is written to keep my own unproven suspicion from being mistaken for a fact.
Scope and identity note
- Who: the person named on the DevFest Jakarta 2026 poster as "Alvin Prayuda", Senior Developer Relations Engineer at Google Cloud, speaker on a workshop. The longer name, Alvin Prayuda Juniarta Dwiyantoro, comes from my own earlier public comment, not from a document I can show, so I treat that link as unverified too.
- Sources: the poster, the cancellation email from GDG Jakarta ID, a DOKU invoice, and one screenshot of a LinkedIn page. None is forensically authenticated.
- Contact: I have had no prior contact with him and have never met him.
- The registration itself is described in the GDG Jakarta record.
What I observed
- My registration was cancelled on 24 October 2026. The email came from GDG Jakarta ID and says it was "cancelled by the organizer". It names no person.
- When I opened a LinkedIn link I associated with him, I saw "This page doesn't exist". I believe I was blocked. In my view, if so, that would be unprofessional for a developer-relations role. That is my opinion, and I have no way to confirm the block.

What the documents show
- The cancellation email points to the organizer, not to a speaker. It does not mention him.
- The invoice shows an unpaid amount with a due date of 25 October. This gives an ordinary reason for a cancellation that has nothing to do with any individual.
- The poster lists him as a workshop speaker. It does not list him as an organizer, a registration administrator or someone with access to attendee data.
- The LinkedIn page shows an error. That screen appears for deleted profiles, changed URLs and blocks alike. It does not say which, and it does not show that anything was done to me.
What I cannot say
- That he had any role in the cancellation. I have no document that says so.
- That he blocked me. I have no way to tell from the error page.
- That any block, if it happened, had anything to do with my registration.
- That the link I opened belonged to him.
Where I am probably wrong
I connected two events, a cancelled registration and an error page, because they happened close together. Closeness in time is not a reason. A speaker can also block a stranger for reasons unrelated to any event, and that is his right on his own account. The sensible reading is that I do not know.
What I did instead
I stopped speculating about individuals and asked the organizer in writing for the reason. The steps are in how to ask an organizer why a registration was cancelled.
